Dear Recovery Community Member,
Looking back on 2022, we know that we wouldn't be where we are now without your support and enthusiasm. Last year, NIRCO was blessed to achieve so much. Here are some of our most significant accomplishments in 2022, and again, it's all thanks to you!
NIRCO's 2022 Achievements & Impact:
We welcomed and hosted 350 participants at our recovery community events;
Our staff disseminated 250 free Narcan units to individuals and families;
We enhanced recovery outcomes for 248 individuals through peer support;
We provided 12 Narcan trainings, 15 Grief Recovery, 3 Mental Health First education sessions and 4 Anger Management trainings for 284 participants.
NIRCO's Executive Director, Mary Roberson, received an award at the Gospel Fest in honor of her work for the Recovery Community.
In September, NIRCO was awarded SAMHSA's “Building Communities of Recovery (BCOR)" Grant.
NIRCO launched an Anger Management group to help community members to better cope.
We partnered with the COAST program to provide Peer Recovery Specialists in the field to assist in law enforcement responses in the community.
NICRO participated in the Global Round Table for Women in Recovery.
We hosted our first ever annual “Recovery Gala”.
We hosted a Statewide Seminar for the fall ROSC meeting #ILRecoveryBelongs.
During National Recovery Month, NIRCO hosted a Rally for Recovery to celebrate the recovery of individuals families and community partners.
NIRCO successfully implemented and hosted 12 ROSC council meetings for members to collaborate on ways to support and improve services for our recovery community.
We are excited about 2023 with you at our side and we have some big goals and ideas that we can't wait to share. So stay tuned!
