In celebration and support of this important cause, NIRCO HUB is hosting the Mental Health Awareness Summit, a series of engaging and enlightening events every Tuesday throughout May. Mark your calendars for May 9th, 16th, 23rd, and 30th for an opportunity to explore various aspects of mental wellness through interactive sessions led by experts and organizations dedicated to fostering mental health.
Summit Schedule and Highlights
The summit is designed to offer a range of activities that promote mental health through mindfulness, art, physical fitness, and more. Here’s what attendees can look forward to each week:
May 9th – Mindfulness with Destiny: Kick off the summit with Destiny, a mindfulness expert who will guide you through techniques to center your mind and cultivate a state of peaceful awareness. Bring your pillow or yoga mat and dress comfortably to fully engage in this soothing experience.
May 16th – Art Impact Project: Tap into your creative side with the Art Impact Project. This session is perfect for anyone looking to express themselves creatively and explore the therapeutic benefits of art. No prior art skills required – just come ready to create and explore.
May 23rd – Dr. Fit Ms. Studios: Join the team from Dr. Fit Ms. Studios for a session focused on the connection between physical health and mental wellbeing. This engaging workout will help you relieve stress and boost your mood, all while promoting overall health.
May 30th – Closing Reflections and Activities: The final day of the summit will feature a compilation of activities and reflective sessions to wrap up the month’s learnings and experiences. Participants will have the opportunity to share their thoughts, connect with others, and set intentions for continuing mental health practices beyond the summit.
